The Ubiquiti FiberPoE Gen2 (Model F-POE-G2) is a robust outdoor optical data transport device designed for long-distance, reliable Gigabit PoE deployments. It seamlessly transports gigabit fiber data bi-directionally between a 1 Gbps SFP fiber interface and a 1000 Mbps Ethernet PoE port while injecting passive DC power over Ethernet cable. Supporting both 24V and 50V passive PoE passthrough, it offers flexible power input methods including a DC terminal block (2-wire), DC RJ45 input, and wide-range DC input (16–57V).
Built for extreme outdoor environments, it operates reliably within a temperature range of -40 to 60° C and is housed in a weather-resistant polycarbonate enclosure suitable for pole or wall mounting. The FiberPoE Gen2 device ensures enhanced reliability with integrated high-current gas discharge tube surge protection and ±24 kV ESD/EMP protection on Ethernet ports. Its low power consumption (~1.5W) and compact design make it ideal for extending network connections in remote outdoor locations.
This device supports improved EMI reduction for stable data transmission and meets CE, FCC, and IC certifications to ensure quality and compliance. Use FiberPoE Gen2 either as a standalone fiber-to-Ethernet converter or pair units together to create resilient fiber PoE bridges for long-distance network reach with superior data integrity.
