The Simplecom SA221 is a versatile 2-in-1 combo adapter designed to connect both mSATA and M.2 (NGFF) B Key SSDs to your system via USB 3.0 or SATA interfaces. This adapter supports multiple M.2 sizes (2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280) and accommodates both half-size and full-size mSATA SSDs, making it an ideal solution for data backup, migration, and easy access to various SSD formats.

Featuring a detachable USB 3.0 cable and dual interface (SATA and USB 3.0), the SA221 ensures fast data transfer speeds compliant with SATA Revision 3.2. It includes LED indicators for power and activity, helping users monitor drive status easily. The adapter supports PCI Express M.2 Spec Revision 0.7 and PCI Express Mini Card Electromechanical Spec 1.2 standards.

With robust protective features such as thermal shutdown protection, short circuit protection, in-rush current suppression, and a PWM synchronous buck converter Power IC, this adapter guarantees safety and reliable operation. Note that if both M.2 and mSATA SSDs are inserted simultaneously, the M.2 SSD takes priority while the mSATA SSD is disabled. The B Key interface supports only B Key and B+M Key SSDs; M Key-only and NVMe M.2 SSDs are not supported.
